As the need for electronic discovery continues to increase, it has caused the corporations to become more involved in the selection of the services and the providers. More and more corporate counsel is not only determining the vendor, but also in many cases involved in the review of collected information. These decisions have been driven by the need to control litigation costs. In addition, the requirement for more comprehensive collection of data at the onset of a case (Federal rule changes; 12.01.06) has required corporate counsel to gain a better understanding of their litigation hold processed, especially with regard to electronic information. In the past few years, more and more rulings are establishing that it is not a burden to require corporations to restore information from previously “unavailable” sources such as back-up tapes and permanent storage archives. Visual Evidence’s Litigation Hold Services include:
- Records Management
- Email Archiving
- Records Preservation
- Back-up tape and external media restoration
- Computer and server data collection
